![]() ![]() The original one kicks butt! You can install new bios chips and run linux on it. There are also some new XP machines still being sold, even though Micro$oft threatened to cut them off. QB64 is coming along so well that I'll probably stick with it from here on out to run my programs in 7, I'll just stay with coding in the QuickBasic IDE either with my XP or 98 until the compiler is completed and more is done on the IDE.īy the way, for anyone interested in a netbook or for those who can find a 64/32 bit 7, you can still run QB programs, just not full screen ones. They look as good or better than the PS2 stuff he plays. It's really a shame Micro$oft can't make a good OS, because computer chips and hardware are so amazing these days that it's like owning a Rolls Royce and putting farmer Ted inside to drive it. ![]() I also never liked the way M$ refuses to support older games like Play Station does. I should mention Micro$oft X-Box is a good player, but I don't think it is as durable as a Play Station. Artelius could easily make something better, if he had the time. Micro$oft is still on my list of America's Dumbest Companies. Same UAC stuff nobody in their right mind would want, unless they are just too stupid to operate anything more technical than a two-slice toaster, and in that case, I'd recommend buying extra fire insurance. Well, actually, I agree with Vista-light. But then again a mirror makes Vista look like crap, too.
